The Appointment Orders were issued to the students of Trincomalee Campus as Captains and Vice-Captains for various sports events on 8th February 2023 under the auspicious guidance of Prof (Mrs). Chandravathany G. Devadason, Rector, Trincomalee Campus (EUSL) who also chaired the ceremony. Dr. J. S. Rohan Savarimuttu, Chairman, Sports Advisory Committee & Head, Department of Information Technology, Trincomalee Campus (EUSL) delivered a speech on the role of sports in developing leadership qualities and good health and as a healthier attributer to encourage better concentration in the academic endeavours. The Chief Gust Prof (Mrs). Chandravathany G. Devadason also stressed on the issues of the relationship between sports and education and in its role in developing holistic personality. The Appointment Order issuing ceremony was attended by Deputy Registrar, Senior Assistant Registrar, Assistant Registrars, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, Instructors, Coordinators and Demonstrators. The following students have been appointed as Captains and Vice-Captains for the following sports who also will form the Sports Council of Trincomalee Campus (EUSL) for the year 2023. which was made a success due to the organizational skills of Mr. P. Krishnaprabu,coordinator, Physical Education Unit, Trincomalee Campus (EUSL).
